Counselors

As you know

the Career World is changing for
young people today.

No longer is College or University the only viable option for successful futures.

Trying to help a young person make a good career choice?

When advising a young person about the best options for their future, one must account for their educational budget, success outcome upon completion of training as well as their own interests so that they will be better prepared for success after High School.

A Fresh Perspective

Many adults do not perceive the skilled trades as viable career option for young people. However, these are careers that use some of the most sophisticated equipment available, and require a substantial amount of skill and learning to use them. Young people who train for these careers need to be intelligent, creative, hard working and committed. Training for many of these careers takes longer than acquiring a university degree.

The Bottom Line

While nearly 85% of Grade 9 students tell us that they plan on enrolling in university after they graduate from high school, only 20% actually do. We want to make sure that the other 65% don't fall through the cracks.

We're giving you all of the information that is available so you can help your students make informed career choices. We suggest that you talk with your students. Direct your students by giving them information they will need to study all of their options.

We all owe it to young people to help them excel and prosper.
